Landscape Design Samples
Nowshahr/Mazandaran-Iran Botanical garden project was one of the most challenging project for us. The variety of plants there was amazing, collected from all over the world for future study. We planned to create an enjoyable place for visitors by injecting some useful functionalities. My students worked hard and studied specific aspect of each plant. We worked as a team and we identified places by presence in the space to design characteristically.
Identifying the walking and cycling paths among dense trees and plants was the hardest part of project. We had to hurt as less as possible to the picturesque and unique landscape.
Matching the form, along with the effects of sunlight in different seasons and the amount of shading, as well as the amount of humidity, wind speed and direction, and the bionic characteristics of each plant, was another challenge for us, but we overcame it by carefully studying each type of plant.

Urban Design Samples
Urban design projects have always been a special interest of mine. Because they have been the junction of political, social, economic, cultural, traffic, environmental and aesthetic needs.
The project site was located in the city of Nowshahr, which included a water artery with commercial and recreational sub-uses in the center of the city. The goal of the project was to redefine and revitalize this environment by increasing the quality of public space for citizens. Preliminary studies were done, then the needs were determined by interviewing citizens and city officials. Using SWAT analysis, strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats were identified. Then, the district vision document was prepared and the goals and objectives, strategies and policies were determined. In the next step, our team defined briefs, codes, guidelines, and design standards. The next step was defining the urban design framework and 3D master plan and determining the projects. Finally, each project was assigned to 3-4 students to do 3D design and details according to the instructions.
